ABOUT

I’m Hugo Frederiks, a photographer and content creator based in Utrecht, the Netherlands.

Photography started as a way for me to slow things down and really look at my surroundings. Over time, it became a way of telling visual stories, focusing on places, spaces and details that often go unnoticed. I’m especially drawn to architecture, urban environments and landscapes, both close to home and while traveling.

My work today revolves around real estate, travel and visual content. Alongside personal projects, I work with brands, businesses and individuals on commissioned photography. This includes photographing homes and buildings, travel destinations, accommodations and luxury hotels, as well as events and creative projects. I enjoy working on assignments where atmosphere, light and a sense of place are key.​

Outside of commissioned work, I spend a lot of time on personal projects. Exploring cities, working with aerial photography, experimenting with long exposures or simply walking with a camera. Those moments often influence and shape my professional work.
